A Trip to the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Arts

Fourth grade students travelled to Elmhurst to visit the Lizzadro Museum as the culminating activity to their study of Earth Science. Mr. Lizzadro was a world-wide traveller who collected rock and mineral specimens as well as different types of lapidary art objects. The students started with a video about his collection followed by a scavenger hunt through the museum. As always a trip to the gift shop allowed students to purchase their own rock "treasures."
