Summit School is a 14-7.02 private special education center approved by the State of Illinois to serve an average of 60 students in the areas of Specific Learning Disabilities, Other Health Impairments, Emotional Disability, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. We accept students from kindergarten through high school graduation from nearly 30 school districts.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as a member of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team to determine:
- The student’s eligibility for Special Education services
- Instructional program
- Goals and objectives
- Progress toward individualized objectives
- Provide individualized and small group instruction and periodic assessments as specified by the student’s Individualized Education Program.
- Provide an appropriate physical and social/emotional environment to establish and reinforce appropriate student behavior, social skills, and self-worth.
Position is full-time.
