Each student's IEP team decides if participation in the Summer Program (Extended School Year) is appropriate, Decisions to enroll a student in the summer program are determined by sufficient progress against annual goals and the need to prevent academic, social, or behavioral regression.

The Extended School Year program is a full-day program for 24 days. The program runs for a couple weeks during June, breaks for the week of Independence Day and resumes for the remainder of the 24 days in July.
